Spritesheet Splitter v0.1a

 

A tool to split a spritesheet into its individual frames.  The resulting file may be unzipped into its individual images, or imported into Scratch as a sprite.

Mac Gatekeeper:

Since I am not a registered software developer, you will have to temporarily change your Gatekeeper settings in order to run this application.  More information on Gatekeeper can be found here.

 

  1. Open System Preferences

  2. Click Security & Privacy

  3. Select the "Anywhere" option under "Allow applications downloaded from:"

  4. Run the application

 

This steps will only be necessary for the first time you run the application.  It is recommended to restore the default settings afterward to protect your computer from malware.

Known issues and to-do:

  • Unstable public alpha

  • Occasionally freezes on start

  • Images that are too small may not work

  • Images that are too big may not work

  • "Save as" menu item does not work

  • Zooming feature has yet to be added

Settings.json files:

Add one of these JSON files in the application's folder for extra functionality.  These features are experimental and have yet to be fully incorporated as part of the app.  It is NOT recommended to modify these files or use them for spritesheets they were not designed for as unexpected results may occur.

 

MLP: Online Pony Extras v1.0

Specifically designed for MLP: Online Pony Sprites.  Adds transparancy and animation scripts.

Note: Scripting is still a work in progress and requires additional code to function.

Infinate Scrolling Map Extras v1.0 (No download yet)

Designed for tile based scrolling maps.  Contains scripts for infinate scrolling maps with basic collisions.

Download also contains an example project with art from Budding Friendships.
